August Nursery Design was founded by Julia, an interior and architectural designer with over a decade of professional experience creating thoughtful, beautifully crafted spaces. After becoming a mother herself, Julia felt a deep calling to shift her focus toward designing rooms for children and families—spaces that are not only visually beautiful, but also highly functional, safe, and designed to grow alongside a child.

Julia believes that children’s rooms are more than just places to sleep—they are where imagination begins, creativity flourishes, and a child’s sense of home is formed. With a background in both interior and architectural design, she brings a unique, detail-driven approach to nursery and children’s room design, carefully balancing aesthetics with practicality. Every space is thoughtfully planned to support family life, encourage play and rest, and adapt as children grow.

The name August holds special meaning for Julia. It’s her favorite month—a time when good things always seem to happen—and it’s also home to the birthdays of some of her favorite people, including her son. The name reflects the warmth, optimism, and joy that Julia strives to bring into every nursery and children’s space she designs.
